Pastors Message:

THE BLOOD THAT CRIES OUT FOR YOU!

Did you know that you have a spiritual history just like you have a medical history? What I mean by your spiritual history is what has been passed on to you down through the generations in the form of sins, blessings, and/or curses. So, in the same way that genes, diseases and propensities for diseases are passed down to you in the form of a medical history, you also have a spiritual history. Not many believers understand this today and so they are confused after they accept Jesus as Savior but still suffer from addictions, depression, financial ruin, and many other problems. That is why it is so important for us to know that we have a legal right to be free from these problems because of the blood of Jesus. This is addressed in 1 Peter 1:18-19: “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your fore-parents, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”

The blood of Jesus Christ is so precious because it was shed for us and is able to purchase us back from our sinful condition. According to Hebrews 12:24 the blood of Jesus Christ “speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.” What does this mean? The blood of Abel refers to the blood that was shed when the first son of Adam, Cain, murdered his brother, Abel. Abel’s blood cries out to this day of sin, murder, jealousy, judgment and revenge. This is similar to each of us. Each of us has inherited a spiritual condition or history that needs cleansing, forgiveness and life. But, this same verse tells us that the blood of Jesus Christ speaks a better word for us. What is the blood of Jesus crying out for us? It is crying out mercy and redemption. This means that we do not receive what we deserve. Aren’t you glad Christ’s blood speaks for you?
